Hace un tiempo dedicamos en este blog un capítulo sobre las mejores monedas de oro y lingotes para invertir y visto el éxito que tuvo creo que merece la pena dedicar un capítulo a las mejores monedas de plata para invertir.

De precio mucho más asequible que el oro, lo cierto es que para mucho la plata es la moneda ideal para invertir por su gran potencial de subida en caso de crisis y por ser una moneda mucho más usable en caso de catástrofe que las monedas de oro, las cuales podrían ser tan valiosas que no serían útiles para pagar bienes cotidianos. Esta última es la postura común entre los preparacionistas o "preppers".

A raíz del hilo sobre el Krugerrand, la moneda bullion de inversión en oro más reconocida he recibido muchos mensajes que me piden un artículo sobre las monedas y lingotes de inversión en oro más fiables o mejores para invertir. Digamos que este blog en realidad va sobre complementos masculinos y sólo toqué el Krugerrand como objeto icono pero en vista de las peticiones aquí va el artículo.

¿Es mejor invertir en monedas o en lingotes de oro?

Es mejor en monedas, pero hacerlo en lingotes no es malo. ¿Por qué es mejor en monedas? Hay quien dice que las monedas al tener un peso y medidas conocidas son más difíciles de falsificar, pero eso no tiene sentido tanto en cuanto hay lingotes de marcas reconocidas y con sus dimensiones comprobables. Lo que si es cierto es que normalmente los lingotes tienen menos "premium" es decir, menos sobreprecio (beneficio del vendedor) que el que llevan las monedas, por lo que te dan más oro por el mismo dinero, pero... las monedas, debido a los prejuicios, son más populares, por lo que son más fáciles de vender y aparte de en los "Compro oro" se pueden vender en tiendas de numismática que dan mejores precios. En resumidas cuentas, con monedas podemos recuperar nuestra inversión más rápidamente.

¿Monedas de oro grandes o pequeñas?

Ambas y según que necesitemos. Yo prefiero las pequeñas ya que si hay crisis y el precio sube nos encontraremos con objetos de mucho valor difíciles de convertir en moneda corriente. Por contra si se ha de viajar con lo puesto, mejor monedas grandes que acabaran ocupando menos espacio que muchas pequeñas.
